CrowdStrike and Dell Team Up to Secure the Dell AI Factory With NVIDIA, From AI Agents to the SOC
Customers can buy infrastructure and security together, with Falcon Guardian defending agents against prompt injection; NVIDIA Sentry and BlueField-4 support is still planned.
CrowdStrike (CRWD) and Dell Technologies (DELL) announced integrated cybersecurity for the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA (NVDA), aimed at protecting AI infrastructure, workloads, agents and applications. Customers can buy the infrastructure and the security together through Dell's AI Ecosystem Program, and Dell's managed detection and response (MDR) service will exclusively run the integrated CrowdStrike capabilities, according to the companies.
What is in the package
| Layer | Product | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| AI agents | Falcon Guardian | Protects against prompt injection, malicious agent behavior and sensitive data exposure; NVIDIA OpenShell integration is described as available now, with Sentry and BlueField-4 DPU integration planned |
| Infrastructure | Falcon Cloud Security | Detects vulnerabilities, misconfigurations and threats across containers and Kubernetes workloads |
| Detection and response | Falcon Next-Gen SIEM | Combines security data with AI-powered detection, investigation and response |
| Managed service | Dell MDR Services | Exclusively manages the integrated CrowdStrike capabilities, with 24/7 monitoring, threat containment and recovery support |
The pitch is a single purchase path: an enterprise buying Dell's AI servers and NVIDIA software through the AI Ecosystem Program can add the security stack and a managed operator at the same time, instead of assembling them separately. Pricing and availability by region were not part of the announcement.
What was already in place
The announcement builds on earlier work. In May, Dell said the Falcon platform integrates directly with the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, with detections for NVIDIA AI Enterprise components such as NIM and NeMo, and that Dell MDR provides round-the-clock monitoring and response using Falcon. On Oct. 21 at NVIDIA's GTC event, CrowdStrike said it is integrating Falcon Guardian with NVIDIA OpenShell and plans to integrate it with NVIDIA Sentry for in-silicon enforcement on BlueField-4 DPUs. That earlier release gave no general availability date for the OpenShell integration, so how far along each piece is deserves attention; CrowdStrike also cautions that features may change and customers should buy based on what is available today.
The security risk the package targets is real for agent deployments. CrowdStrike executive Daniel Bernard said on Oct. 21 that "guardrails alone won't stop an adversary," arguing that agents need runtime and infrastructure protection as well as model-level controls.
Why it matters
- For CrowdStrike. A route into AI factory buyers through Dell's sales channel and a managed-service wrapper, at a time when the company is positioning Falcon as the security layer for AI agents.
- For Dell. Security attached to AI server deals can make the bundle more complete for regulated customers and deepens its services business.
- For NVIDIA. More partners building security on its agent and DPU platforms strengthens the ecosystem around its hardware.
- Competition. Outside analysts note that other security vendors, including Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet and Zscaler, are building on the same NVIDIA telemetry, so differentiation is likely to come from how well vendors turn those signals into detections, not from access to the data.
What to watch
- Availability. General availability and regional rollout of the Sentry and BlueField-4 integrations.
- Pricing and attach. Whether the combined purchase shows up in Dell AI server orders or CrowdStrike's reported growth. No customer or revenue figures were given.
- The exclusive MDR arrangement. How it affects Dell's other security partners and managed-service customers.
