Technology and software names led the large cap gainers on Monday, Oct. 19, as JFrog, Marvell Technology, Sandisk and Datadog each rose more than 7% from recent lows or key moving averages. On the downside, Resolution Minerals, Telkom Indonesia, RB Global, Sea Limited and NRG Energy fell between about 4% and 7%, several of them to multi-month or multi-year lows. Prices and moves below are intraday and can change by the close.

JFrog, the top large cap gainer, at $91.55

Marvell Technology, back above its 50-day average, at $245.97

Resolution Minerals, the biggest large cap decliner, at $4.52

Large cap gainers

The four gainers share a pattern: each was rebounding from a recent low or bouncing off a moving average. JFrog and Marvell were recovering toward or above their 50-day averages after their lowest closes in weeks. Sandisk rose from its lowest close since mid-August and still trades well below its 50-day average. Datadog was the only one with a stated catalyst in our data: Bernstein's upgrade to Outperform with a $350 target. The moves fit with the chip and tech rebound seen in premarket trading earlier today.

Large cap losers

The decliners are more mixed, and the data we have does not give a reason for most of the moves. Telkom Indonesia fell to its lowest level since March 2009, RB Global to its lowest since October 2024, and Resolution Minerals was on track for a fresh record close. Sea Limited and NRG Energy are both trading well below their 50-day moving averages.

What to watch. Whether the rebound in JFrog, Marvell, Sandisk and Datadog holds into the close, how Sea Limited trades against its 200-day average near $101, and whether the stocks at multi-year lows, such as Telkom Indonesia and RB Global, stabilize. The list covers stocks with market caps of about $10 billion to $200 billion and average daily volume above 100,000 shares, ranked by percentage change. It excludes leveraged ETFs and microcaps and is informational, not a recommendation to buy or sell.
