Amazon (AMZN) reported $3.77 billion of publicly disclosed holdings in its Form 13F for the third quarter of 2026, down $649 million, or 14.7%, from $4.42 billion in the second quarter. All six positions kept the same share counts as the prior quarter, so the decline reflects lower reported values, not disclosed net selling. A 13F values holdings at quarter-end prices, so it does not show where the stocks trade now.

By our calculation, Rivian and X-energy together are about 88% of the Q3 total, and the implied quarter-end prices were about $15.0 for Rivian, $14.2 for X-energy, $22.1 for Beta, $264 for Marvell, $356 for Astera and $75.7 for Allegiant. Where Q3 values and changes are marked by our calculation, they are derived from the second-quarter filing and the reported percentage changes.

What stands out

  • No trades. Share counts match the second-quarter filing exactly, down to the 149,317 Allegiant shares, so Amazon neither bought nor sold any disclosed position.
  • Concentration. Rivian remains the largest position, followed by X-energy.
  • AI and technology. Marvell and Astera Labs, both AI-infrastructure names, fell in value, while Beta Technologies gained.
  • What it leaves out. A 13F covers only certain publicly traded securities. It does not include private holdings.

What to watch

  • Next filing. Whether Amazon changes share counts in the fourth-quarter filing, due in February.
  • Current prices. How the holdings have moved since Sept. 30.
  • Marvell. The pending Lumentum acquisition, which we covered separately.
