Management commentary

CEO Mike Erickson said IDEXX delivered "exceptional third quarter results." The company will hold an investor session on its upcoming MultiCue Dx analyzer on Jan. 18, 2027, in Orlando.

What to watch

  • Veterinary visit trends. Management had expected U.S. clinic visits to decline roughly 1.5% in the second half, so testing per visit has to keep growing to deliver the outlook.
  • Margins. The lowered full-year operating margin outlook leaves less cushion if investment spending runs higher.
  • Instruments. Capital instrument revenue was flat, so placements and the MultiCue Dx launch matter for future consumable sales.
  • Valuation reaction. Premarket gains need to hold through the session. See the full week's calendar in our Week Ahead article, and the market backdrop in our Research Desk analysis.
