Meta launched Muse for Small Business, connecting its AI agent to QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe, Canva and a dozen other tools so owners can analyze sales, draft marketing plans, and manage customer communications, with every publish, send, or spend still requiring approval.

Meta Platforms ($META) launched Muse for Small Business on September 29, adding business skills and third-party connectors to its AI agent as the company looks to diversify revenue beyond advertising.

Business connections: Muse can draw on a business's authorized Instagram professional analytics, Facebook Pages, and Meta ad accounts to understand its products, brand, and customer questions.

Third-party tools: Meta named 15 connectors at launch, including QuickBooks, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, Canva, Zoom, Asana, Box, Dropbox, Figma, Klaviyo, Notion, Granola, HighLevel, and Lovable. Users can also build custom connectors for services Meta doesn't yet support.

Business tasks: Muse can analyze sales and campaigns, draft marketing plans, review financial performance, and flag emails needing a response.

User approval: Meta says Muse cannot publish content, send messages, or spend money without the user's approval.

Access and pricing: Muse for Small Business is available in the U.S. and Canada. Most uses are free with usage limits, and Meta will offer subscription plans for additional use, though it hasn't disclosed pricing or what the paid tier adds.

Part of a broader push

Muse for Small Business isn't a separate app; it's an expansion of the personal Muse agent Meta launched September 8. The rollout came a day after Meta introduced Meta Enterprise Platform, a separate initiative to sell its AI products and infrastructure to larger businesses and developers. Meta's Vishal Shah, the company's VP of AI products, told Axios that roughly one in three people who tried Muse early on had already connected it to a business account of some kind.

Stripe's head of payments, Kevin Miller, said in Meta's announcement that the integration lets users "find new customers, send invoices and payment links, manage products and prices, and securely analyze your revenue" without leaving the chat. Intuit said it's bringing its own agentic AI workflows into the QuickBooks connection for cash flow and invoicing.

Early traction. Sensor Tower estimated Muse recorded about 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks, and other tracking has put the figure above 3.4 million by its third week, making it one of the more closely watched consumer AI launches this year. Download counts don't necessarily reflect active users or paid subscribers, and Meta hasn't disclosed revenue figures for Muse.
